In 1921, Serbian pilots founded the Serbian Aero Club in Belgrade which today operates as the Aeronautical Union of Serbia. Thanks to its decades-long existence, today there are over 70 active organisations in Serbia which are involved with aeronautical sports and all forms of modern flying:
